Cubot Dinosaur – 5.5 inch attractive cheap smartphone

Cubot Dinosaur might be perfect for a teenager or as your first smart phone. It has a very great specs to price ratio and I’m sure you’ll be pleased by everything this phone has to offer (more or less). First, this device looks good. It doesn’t have a sophisticated design, but they exterior aspect is more than okay. If you didn’t have a smart phone until now or you had a small one, this model might seem too big. That’s because it is, but I’m sure you’ll get used to it in a very short while. I know I have. Now I own a 5.5 inch display OnePlus One. Before that, I had a 4 inch Samsung galaxy S3 Mini. 4″ vs 5.5″ is a pretty big difference, but just like I said, in a few days everything will seem normal to you.

The transition will also be smooth as silk, because this phone has lots of useful and interesting features/specs. First, let’s talk about the big 5.5 inch HD display. It’s not something to write home about, but it will deliver good images and details, the colours are going to be pretty vivid, but the viewing angles are not that wide. That’s not a big problem… Remember, this is a budget smartphone… In broad daylight, the screen is not that bright and readable, but if you set the brightness to maximum you shouldn’t have too many problems.

When you have a phone like this, you should protect it as much as you can. Problem solved, because the package also contains a case and a screen protector. Trust me, they make a great difference and your brand-new device will be extra protected from scratches, bumps and many other annoying situations you might encounter.

If you’re pretty active on the social media networks (Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Instagram etc.), this phone comes in handy because it is equipped with two cameras. They are not super high quality, but will do the job. The selfie camera has a 5 MP sensor and you will be able to take decent pictures, especially in broad daylight. The main/back camera sports a 13 MP resolution and you can record videos up to 1080p. The quality is going to be above the average. Remember, this is an entry-level budget smart phone… It’s not a Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone X or LG V30.

Unfortunately, you won’t find any fingerprint sensor on the back/front of Cubot Dinosaur. You will lock/unlock your brand-new phone old-fashioned way: using the side bottom. The volume rockers are close to the on/off button, while on the bottom you have regular micro USB port and headphone jack. That’s about all! This phone is extremely user-friendly right out of the box. When it comes to specs, everything changes a little bit. That’s because they are something to get pretty excited about. A quad core 1.3 GHz CPU is present under the case and is making a great team with 3 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of storage. You won’t be able to play the latest and greatest games, but you could still do lots of other interesting things, such as check/send e-mails, talk to your friends on Skype/Facebook, play many many many <2016 games, install lots of apps, watch videos on YouTube, listen to your favorite music and many more.

Let’s say 16 GB is not enough for you. Indeed, it’s not what I had in mind, but it’s okay. Nevertheless, you can extend the storage, using a simple microSD card, up to 32 GB. Another interesting feature of this affordable, but great smart phone is that it supports 2 Sims. Don’t worry, the microSD card slot is separate, so you’ll be able to use 2 Sims and a memory card at the same time. What is amazing about this model is the battery. You know that annoying thing were struggling with everyday? The battery life? It’s a nightmare! Well, when it comes to this device, it’s a bliss! Because we are talking about a 4150 mAh battery which will offer you at least 2 days of regular activity.

Keep in mind: the Cubot Dinosaur phone doesn’t have fast charging, so what you see is what you get. Until the juice is going to be out and you’ll have to recharge it. :))) Overall, this is a great gadget for its price. It has a big decent screen, you can use your headphones/earphones listening to your favorite music, but the biggest advantage is the enhanced battery. Even if we are talking about an minimize affordable smart phone, the battery should get you through one day. Well, this one will get you even further. I forgot to tell you about a few other important things, such as the operating system (android 6.0 comes preinstalled) and I’m sure Bluetooth and GPS will come in handy once in a while.
